The LSRS is an affiliate institute of the University of Bonn!

The University of Bonn (Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn) and the Luxembourg School of Religion & Society (LSRS) have signed a cooperation agreement that establishes the LSRS as an affiliate institute of the University of Bonn. A ceremony followed by a reception took place on September 25, 2023 in the ballroom of the University of Bonn to mark the implementation of this collaboration agreement, which represents a very important milestone for the LSRS since its founding in 2015. 

This research and teaching collaboration aims to take the major political, social, cultural, and religious challenges of our time into account and address them theologically. It promotes a theology rooted in interdisciplinary exchange and interreligious dialogue that can enrich present and future discourse.

As part of the joint celebration and consonant with the agreed upon collaboration objectives, there was a panel discussion on the topic: "Crossing Borders: Living Theology in Europe and Beyond."

The panel discussion led by Prof. Dr. Dr. Jean Ehret and Moderated by Prof. Dr. Dr. Jochen Sautermeister, included:

• Dr. Stefan Attard (Malta);

• Prof. Dr. João Duque (Braga/Portugal);

• Prof. Dr. Gusztáv Kovács (Pécs/Hungary);

• Prof. Dr. Aušra Vasiliauskaitė (Kaunas/Lithuania).

The ceremony was accompanied by music from the outstanding trio Orelon.
